Welcome to the Manor FFA Alumni

The Manor FFA Alumni Organization was established to provide support to the Manor FFA chapter and its’ participants.

The Alumni Organization provides this support in many different ways:

¶   Financial assistance for travel expenses incurred while attending the 
        State and National FFA Convention.

¶   Financial assistance for the Chapter Christmas party as well as the end of year 
        awards party.

¶   Contributing member of the Manor Mafia buyers group, whom purchases projects of 
         Manor FFA and 4H kids at the Travis County Youth Show youth fair and livestock 
         auctions.

¶    Assist with transportation of livestock projects to and from shows as needed.

¶    With donations from members, we teamed up with the Manor Livestock Booster 
          Club during the 2009 Travis County Youth Livestock Show to provide a tent filled 
          with free food and drinks for Manor FFA and 4H members. (If you have ever paid 
          concession stand prices for 4 days – you’ll understand this is a BIG help to the kids 
          and their families.)

¶    Many more opportunities to support our local chapter exist with continued 
          successful fundraising.

Our major fundraisers for the year include:

¶    Raffle – Last year we held a raffle through out the first part of the year, drawing 
          the winners at the Travis County Youth Show Auction. This worked well and we 
           have decided to try a substantial gift card raffle this year.

¶     Lamb and Goat prospect show – last year we held our first lamb and goat prospect 
            show at the Manor ag barn. We plan on holding the prospect show again this year.

¶     Silent Auction – at the end of year banquet we hold a silent auction containing 
            various items that may have been donated over the year, etc.

¶     New fundraiser ideas are always welcome.

Volunteer Opportunities:

¶     There are many! Whether it is selling raffle tickets, working the prospect show or 
            rounding up donations. Volunteers are what makes this organization a success and 
            even if time is not something you can spare, there are many other ways to help out.
